oDoes BitJazz use xyz technology?

No. BitJazz does not use wavelets, fractals, or cosine transforms. Nor does BitJazz use any flavor of run-length (RLE) encoding, Ziv-Lempel (LZ) coding, partial-prefix match (PPM) coding, or arithmetic coding.

oHow does BitJazz work?

The BitJazz engine uses proprietary breakthrough technology invented by the founders of BitJazz Inc. BitJazz technology relies on a novel process we call condensation, with roots in information theory and quantum thermodynamics, also known as statistical mechanics.

oWhat's different about BitJazz?

BitJazz's condensation process models a thermodynamic process. All compression algorithms are governed by information theory, but no others on the market exploit the relationship to thermodynamic processes. Cosine transforms, wavelet transforms, and fractal transforms do not take advantage of this relationship.

oWho else uses thermodynamic process models?

A common example of the use of a thermodynamic process model is a class of algorithms mathematicians call stochastic relaxation and computer scientists call simulated annealing. These algorithms, which model the physical thermodynamic process of annealing, are often used to solve extremely complex problems with huge numbers of variables.

oIs BitJazz patented?

BitJazz Inc. recently applied for a broad patent on the BitJazz process, and until the patent is granted, our patent attorneys have advised us not to divulge further details. The patent process typically takes 1 to 3 years.
