Specification

If your web-browser doesn't know what to do with PhotoJazz image files, you can teach it by adding the PhotoJazz MIME type to its list.
If you already know how to add MIME types, the information you need is:

Description: PhotoJazz
MIME type: image/x-photojazz
Extension: .jzz
File Type: Jzz  ('J', 'z', 'z', space)
File Creator: 8BIM Adobe Photoshop®
Data Type: binary

Netscape

  1. In the Edit menu, select Preferences….
  2. In your Preferences dialog, in the Category section, under the Navigator heading, select Applications.
  3. Click on the New… button to open the Edit Type dialog.
  4. In the Description field, type in PhotoJazz Image.
  5. In the MIME type field, type in image/x-photojazz.
  6. In the Suffixes field, type in jzz.
  7. In the Handled by section, press the Application radio button.
  8. Click the Choose… button and find and select Adobe Photoshop or another PhotoJazz-enabled application.
  9. In the File type pop-up menu, select Jzz .
  10. If you want to open downloaded PhotoJazz images right up in the selected application,
      leave the Application radio button selected;
    Otherwise, if you want to save PhotoJazz images straight to disk,
      press the Save to disk radio button.
  11. Click OK.

Internet Explorer

  1. In the Edit menu, select Preferences….
  2. In the Internet Explorer Preferences dialog, in the list on the left, under the Receiving Files heading, select File Helpers.
  3. Click on the Add… button.
  4. In the Edit File Helper dialog, in the Representation section, in the Description field, type in PhotoJazz.
  5. In the Extension field, type in .jzz.
  6. In the MIME Type field, type in image/x-photojazz.
  7. In the File Type section, click on the Browse… button and find and select Adobe Photoshop or another PhotoJazz-enabled application.
  8. In the File type field, type in Jzz (that is, 'J', 'z', 'z', space).
  9. In the File creator section, type in 8BIM, which is Adobe Photoshop.
  10. Press the Binary Data radio button.
  11. Check the Use for incoming and Use for outgoing boxes.
  12. In the Handling section, in the How to handle pop-up menu,
    If you want to open downloaded PhotoJazz images right up in the selected application,
    1. Select View with Application.
    2. Click on the Browse button and find and select Adobe Photoshop or another PhotoJazz-enabled application.
    Otherwise, if you want to save PhotoJazz images straight to disk,
      select Save to File.
  13. Click OK.

Other Mac Browsers

  1. Launch the Internet Config application.
  2. In the Internet Preferences dialog, click on File Mappings.
  3. In the File Mappings dialog, click on the Add… button.
  4. In the Mapping Entry dialog, in the Name field, type in PhotoJazz.
  5. In the Extension field, type in .jzz.
  6. In the MIME Type field, type in image/x-photojazz.
  7. Press the Binary Data radio button.
  8. If you have a PhotoJazz compressed image file handy,
      click on the Choose Example… button and select the PhotoJazz file;
    Otherwise,
    1. In the File type field, type in Jzz (that is, 'J', 'z', 'z', space).
    2. In the File creator section, type in 8BIM, which is Adobe Photoshop.
  9. Click OK.
  10. In the File menu, select Save.
