
PhotoJazz User Manual Extensis PortfolioTroubleshooting
If you try to add a PhotoJazz image to a Portfolio catalog,
and a generic image-document icon is displayed in place of a thumbnail
even though the image is not in L*a*b* or multichannel mode,
or you try to view it and get the error message:
Can not preview. Do you want to edit original?
then PhotoJazz may not have been properly installed.
On a Power Macintosh, make sure that:

The
BitJazz shared library (or a valid alias to it) is in the
System Folder: Extensions folder or in the "Extensis Portfolio" folder.

The
PhotoJazz QT (or a valid alias to it) is in the
System Folder: Extensions: QuickTime Extensions folder.

You have completed the manual PhotoJazz installation procedure for Portfolio.
If not, reinstall PhotoJazz 2 with
InstallPhotoJazz
or install these items by hand,
double-check the manual PhotoJazz installation procedure for Portfolio,
restart the computer, and try again.

In Windows, make sure that:

The BitJazz.dll dynamic link library is in your System32 directory.

The PhotoJazzQT.qtx file is in the System32\QuickTime folder.

You have completed the manual PhotoJazz installation procedure for Portfolio.
If not, reinstall PhotoJazz 2 with SetupPhotoJazz.exe or install these items by hand,
restart the computer, and try again.
