Adobe After Effects
Rendering

Once SheerVideo Pro and QuickTime are properly installed, After Effects will let you use SheerVideo for all types of rendering jobs:

  • Rendering Movies
  • Rendering Frames
  • Rendering RAM Previews
  • Pre-Rendering
  • Rendering Movie Proxies

Because Sheer formats encode and decode faster and take up less space than the corresponding uncompressed video formats, using SheerVideo for these purposes will let you save both time and space, with absolutely zero loss in quality. For example, with SheerVideo, you can fit a clip of more than double the duration in RAM Preview and still view the clip at perfect quality in real time.

Note: With the After Effects Rendering Queue, you can only create SheerVideo QuickTime Movie (".MooV" or ".mov") Files, not SheerVideo QuickDraw Picture (".PICT" or ".pct") Files or SheerVideo QuickTime Image (".qtif" or ".qti") Files.
To create SheerVideo QuickDraw Picture Files or SheerVideo QuickTime Image Files, you need to use the After Effects Export facility instead.

To use SheerVideo for rendering in After Effects, you need to

  1. Load the SheerVideo Output Module Templates you need for your project.
  2. Set the Default Output Module Templates for the desired types of rendering jobs.
  3. Queue your rendering jobs.
  4. Check your rendering settings and render.
