Apple QuickTime Player
Introduction


QuickTime Player, produced by Apple Computer, Inc., is a simple but powerful application for viewing, editing, and converting movies and still images using QuickTime. You can use QuickTime Player to

  • view SheerVideo QuickTime movies, slide shows, and images
  • convert movies, slide shows, and image sequences into SheerVideo QuickTime movies or image sequences
  • convert from SheerVideo QuickTime movies into other movie formats or image sequences

Note: Although the ability to record video was added to QuickTime Player in version 7.0, this feature is strictly limited to uncompressed, MPEG-4, and H.264. QuickTime Player Pro v7.0 cannot capture to SheerVideo.

QuickTime Player 7 QuickTime Player can be downloaded as a free viewer from Apple's website as part of QuickTime.

To create, edit, convert, or save movies with QuickTime Player, you need an inexpensive QuickTime Pro license, which you can purchase on-line from Apple.

QuickTime Player is available for both Macintosh Mac and Windows Windows.
