Adobe Illustrator
Image Modes

PhotoJazz currently supports all photo-quality image modes supported by Adobe Illustrator:

  • RGB Color
  • CMYK Color
  • Grayscale

PhotoJazz converts the following photo-quality image modes unsupported by Adobe Illustrator to a mode that Illustrator does support, as specified:

  • Multitone (Monotone/Duotone/Tritone/Quadtone) images are converted to Grayscale.
  • 16-Bit Channels are converted to 8-Bit Channels.

Illustrator does not support L*a*b* or multichannel images, and cannot open images in these color modes.

Illustrator does not support spot colors or multiple alpha channels. These channels are ignored on input.
