QuarkXPress
Image Modes

PhotoJazz currently supports all photo-quality image modes supported by QuarkXPress:

  • RGB Color
  • CMYK Color
  • Grayscale
  • Lab Color

PhotoJazz converts the following photo-quality image modes unsupported by QuarkXPress to a mode that QuarkXPress does support, as specified:

  • Multitone (Monotone/Duotone/Tritone/Quadtone) images are converted to Grayscale.
  • 16-Bit-Channel CMYK images are converted to 8-Bit-Channel CMYK.

QuarkXPress does not support multichannel images, and cannot open images in this color mode.

QuarkXPress 4.0.3 has a bug causing 16-bit Grayscale pixels brighter than 1/2 maximum luminance to overflow and get darker instead of brighter. Quark, Inc. is fixing this bug.

QuarkXPress does not support embedded ICC profiles in file-format XTensions.
